Smash the Free Palestine Nazis

After the DC murder, the time has come to strike down this monstrous antisemitic movement once and for all.

I always find it difficult to write about murder. To some extent, atrocity is an abyss. It has its own terrible and inexplicable logic. It is a void into which language cannot enter. To some extent, the rest is always silence.

I can only offer these thoughts:

In some ways, the horrific murder of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim z”l at a Jewish event in Washington, DC by a Free Palestine Nazi is an exception to the rule. It is explicable in its logic, and its cause can be easily traced.

Its cause is Free Palestine Nazism itself: The first full-scale antisemitic movement in the United States since the 1930s, led by the Red-Green Alliance between radical progressives and Islamic supremacists.

Its logic is the same as antisemitic murder has always been: the satanic belief in the necessity, the obligation, to kill Jews. This is the logic of everyone from Haman to Hitler, and it remains unchanged since Amalek slaughtered the women and children of the refugees from Pharaoh’s oppression.

We know this is true because, like the movement that birthed him, the swine who committed the atrocity said so. But we know more than that: This is not a matter of one’s man guilt. The complicity is vast and collective.

Put simply, everyone involved in Free Palestine Nazism, from the foot soldiers to the collaborators, the entire antisemitic movement that took to the streets literally the day after the Oct. 7 massacre to hail the murder of Jews, is guilty.

Politicians are guilty, journalists are guilty, activists are guilty, students are guilty, professors are guilty, academic administrators are guilty, the leaders of international institutions are guilty, beloved NGOs are guilty, all of them are guilty. All of them stand indicted. All of them stand condemned.

Their lies, their blood libels, their incitement, their love of violence and mass murder, their idolatry of terrorism, their insistence on imposing their racist views on the rest of us, whether we like it or not, led directly to this murder. The wanton slaughter of Jews is the endpoint, the ultimate ambition, the absolute imperative of their demonic ethic.

A great many of us saw that this was the inevitable endgame. We knew it was coming. We knew that the slope from protester-terrorism, rhetorical terrorism, and emotional terrorism to outright terrorism is very slippery indeed. A movement that worships terrorism will inevitably commit it. Indeed, the web sites and chat rooms of the Free Palestine Nazis have been filled for months with lamentations over their movement’s failure to save Hamas and commit the second genocide of the Jews. The musings about possible “other” measures have been all but explicit.

What this means is that the Free Palestine Nazis have long since declared war on the American Jewish community. That war has now seen a new escalation. The movement is unsatisfied with harassment, intimidation, assault, and other manifestations of its dedication to systemic antisemitic hate crimes and criminality in general. It now intends to kill.

That means there will be more of this. Escalation rarely dissipates in the absence of a force to counter it. Without action, it will get worse. It is likely that, within a year, we may see suicide bombers on the New York subway and the assassination of Jewish and pro-Israel politicians and other officials.

The result will be a pervasive fear, a siege mentality among American Jews. It will mean their ghettoization and marginalization. It may, in the end, lead to the exodus of one of the oldest, most successful, and proudest Diaspora communities. It is a dark blessing that, when things become unbearable, Jews now have the option of Aliyah, but we should not wish for this consummation.

If there is any hope to be found, it is that all of this does not have to happen. This gives us our own moral imperative: Don’t let it happen. Action can be finally taken, and taken now. That action must have a single goal: to smash the Free Palestine Nazi movement. Smash it utterly and completely, for all time. Amalek must be defeated and hurled back into the shadows from whence he came.

How this can be done is not entirely clear, but some measures are obvious. Fortunately, the movement’s dedication to systemic illegality makes it extremely vulnerable. It would be a small consolation to turn this horrific atrocity into a weapon against those who committed it. But it would be a consolation all the same.

The death penalty should be demanded for the killer. Congressional hearings should be held to expose the network of organizations and individuals that incited his act. The FBI should investigate the Free Palestine Nazi movement for a possible RICO case.

Above all, it must be made clear that we are not dealing with an activist movement but with a massive criminal conspiracy. The conspirators have now made it clear that they are intent on becoming a terrorist movement or, at the very least, a movement that is perfectly willing to incite terrorism to achieve its monstrous ends.

These measures will be uncomfortable for many. The movement and its collaborators will fight them with everything they have. But they must be taken. They are the only way to save the American Jewish community and ensure that the throne of murder is ripped out of the earth and hurled down forever.

This, and this alone, is the honor due to those who have fallen for the Sanctification of the Name.
