What could trigger mass Aliyah?
The situation in the United States and Europe is increasingly unsustainable.

It was recently reported that Israel ran a simulation for a possible wave of mass Aliyah.
Prudently, it was made clear that it was only a simulation, with Immigration and Absorption Ministry Director General Avichai Kahana saying, “This is an extreme scenario, but it’s not an apocalyptic one. It’s a scenario that could happen anytime in the near future, and we want to be prepared.”
Kahana was hedging his bets with this statement, but by and large he was correct. The scenario is extreme, but not apocalyptic. That is, it is thinkable. This must give us pause, because the fact that mass Aliyah—which could only be from Europe and the United States—is even thinkable says everything. In the case of the US, it is frankly unprecedented.
