You/we can't choose who's a Jew, whether it's Chomsky or Sanders, or the murderer of Yitzhak Rabin (may his name be blotted out) and Itamar Ben Gvir who encouraged said murder and regicide and has continued since in the same vein.

Just as socialists can't entirely disavow authoritarian or homicidal socialists, so Zionists and Jews (separately) are lumped with our extremists. The same even goes for football fans. I'll stop there.

What a great article, thank you!

"it is certainly possible that Israel cannot “finish the job”—that is, destroy Fordow—without the US"

Both Netanyahu and the Israeli military have stated publicly that they do have a plan for destroying Fordow. A 30,000lb bunker buster is not the only way; a series of smaller bombs hitting the same point at much higher velocity is another.

One of the very few points that everyone agrees on about this war is that Israel's military knows a thing or two about military planning. They would not have overlooked Fordow before launching this operation.

I've had denialists ask me why Iran can't have a nuclear weapon if North Korea can. I've had others tell me they dislike Hamas and also Netanyahu but after a few exchanges it becomes clear that they hate Jews. I've had gay people frothing at the mouth about innocent Gazans. What is all comes down to is the new Zionist-hatred is the old Jew-hatred and has similar effects, which I write about here: “Jew-hatred Comes Out: Musings in Pride Month” https://substack.com/home/post/p-166372525

How about this for stupidity. “Why is Israel permitted to have a nuclear arsenal but not Iran”? This is a question that was recently posted by a college graduate that I know. She is in her thirties and has had some success in sports at the Olympic level. She is now an “influencer” which means there exist people dumber than her who she can influence. She appears to be one of the young New Yorkers who have been hypnotized by Mamdani.

My guess/bet is that Mamdani will be the next mayor of NYC because many people in NYC, to paraphrase Sonny Corleone, “went to college to get stupid”.

Sanders and his squad of anti-Zionists are not stupid. They have convinced themselves that advocating for policies that place Israel’s survival as the Jewish State at grave and imminent risk is not antisemitism only a firm expression of moralism. Remember the Squad opposed renewing funding for the Iron Dome. Sanders knows that Iran is close to having nuclear weapons. He is not a fool. Sanders & Squad want Iran to have these weapons of mass destruction. In their anti-Zionist rage they have concluded that an Iranian bomb can be used as leverage to force Israel to bend to the will of the United Nations that wants to turn back the clock to 1948.

Talk about stupid.

Netenyahu said yesterday that Israel can destroy the reactor on its own. I believe him. It will just be infinitely more difficult than if the US drops a single bomb. As for Sanders, he is an outright lunatic communist Jew hater. The fact that he was born to Jewish parents is completely irrelevant.

Michael Oren just published a piece yesterday revealing that Israel has tried to buy or lease a used B52 from the US for just this purpose, but has been consistently rebuffed. So they have been thinking about this for years, and one can only hope that they do have a plan B.

And George W Bush’s promotion, whether knowingly or unknowingly, of the lie that Saddam Hussein had WMD in 2003 (which is different than seeking them, which we know he did) continues to provide cover today for those who would be perfectly fine with Iran having a nuclear weapon.

Thank you for pointing out the current tendacy to deny Iran's nuclear ambitions and question their desire to build nuclear weapons.

A NYTimes article this morning (6/20) made the case that since the US was wrong about Sadam having nuclear bomb capability and having no "direct evidence" that the Ayatolla specifically ordered a bomb, that the US should back off and not join the fight against Iran. Ron Paul made a similar argument in an interview yesterday. He further argued (ridiculously) that our engagement could stimulate an acceleration among Iranian leadership to pursue a nuclear weapon. Since their large scale uranium enrichment program, their support of terrorism and terrorist organizations as well as their abusive rhetoric (flowing from their theology) regularly call for the destruction of the US Great Satan, what other "evidence" (e.g., a published declaration to build a bomb-- and use it) would be enough to believe their intentions?

Bernie Sanders complicity pushes this asinine theory (for what purpose except long term weakening of democratic governance) to make a clear and present danger into a muddy, chaotic mess.

These denials, use of poor logic by misplaced example have deeper and more sinister motives. An obvious example is to discredit whatever President Trump decides. They are readily willing to subvert what's good for the US to short term political advantage.

These deliberate attempts to down-play and question the Iranian Ayatollas objectives is, at best, nasty politics and at worst naive, headline grandstanding that trades our nation's well being for the spotlight of controversial attention.

Thank you, again, for writing about this

It seems like the logic is pure defeatism. They may be working to get nukes, but we can't stop them because if we try to they'll just get angry and become even more determined to get nukes. So we'll just have to let them get it, there's nothing we can do.

I’m honestly uninterested in how the anti Jewish Right, or Left ( “What will the goyim say”) will respond. Had the Israelis taken care of Iran (as well as Gaza) 20 years ago, all of us wouldn’t be in this situation today.

I don't want to see American involved either. Israel would be justified in using an atomic bomb to put destroy Fordow. It might come to that. If so, I would prefer the US to drop bunker busting bombs. It is more a wrecking operation than war making.

Israel's strategy inevitably brings regime change into the picture. They are trying to decapitate a regime and weaken it. This will impair it's ability to govern and put down internal challenges.

Finally, what happens if the regime is toppled and a sane group takes over? If Fordow is still in operation will they voluntarily decommision it? Why not ask the Ukrainians for their opinion?
