I agree Jews must directly confront the Intifada, expose its hatred of Jews and love for murder. But it must start with American Jews here. Where are our American Jewish leaders? Why aren’t they organizing public campaigns in our streets? Why is our community silent in the face of calls for our extermination?
I think in general, the Israeli posture is that the disapora is not a natural state and that Jews who feel threatened ought to make Aliyah. I am not sure that there is any kind of real belief in Israel to the contrary. Im afraid we are going to have to do this on our own and that means replacing our inept and weak leaders with ones who will as you say press our defense to the limits. I think Jewish life in Western Europe is doomed as most of these countries have tipped towards Islamism and are not capable of resisting any longer. But this is far from true in the U.S. The Trump administration has the right idea. It is holding universities accountable and using resources to fight the Red Green alliance. Unfortunately, the Democratic party including most Jewish officials has taken the approach that if Trump does it then it must be wrong. So it goes on. The only solution is to cut these Judas' loose and get leaders who will fight. This of course goes for the small amount of Jew haters on the right but let's face it. The threat to Jews is from the left.
I think it is incumbent upon American Jews to live up to the expectations of one of the toughest, most brilliant and courageous Jewish leaders of the 20th century.
“No one will frighten the large and free Jewish community of the United States” (Menachem Begin)
Israelis are fighting a war of survival. American Jews need to at least defeat our political enemies at the polls. Why should Israelis come to our aid when we are stupid enough to elect Zohran Mamdani to be mayor of New York City.
You can’t make up this level of naïveté and stupidity. With Rabbis like this who needs Imams.
“My co-authors (listed below) and I are among many New York City rabbis who voted for and proudly support Zohran Mamdani in the race for New York City mayor. Our religious tradition calls us to pursue justice and invokes our responsibility to bring it into the world. For many of us, the campaigns of Mamdani and mensch co-endorser Brad Lander marked the first time in a long while that we witnessed the Jewish call for justice clearly reflected in the platforms and character of mayoral candidates. We are confident that Zohran will carry those values forward – we hope, all the way to Gracie Mansion.”
I agree we need to fight our own battles together with our actual allies. The Israelis have their own. As for that "Rabbi" we cant rely on leftists to put the safety of their own people ahead of their radical politics. Because we will be disappointed every time. Jews will not be responsible for electing Mandamni. Even in NYC we are a small percentage.
We need NEW Jewish leaders. Leaders who speak softly but are not afraid to speak out. Congressmen and Senators like Schumer and Raskin etc. are cowards and prefer to play to the larger audience by being “even handed.” (Another definition for being gutless).
The traditional Jewish organizations prefer to be quiet so as not to ruffle any feathers. As far as liberal Jews, historically they are still living in a dream world.
Wake up. American is a different country now that we have allowed several million Muslims along with their barbaric beliefs, anti democratic customs, and loud mouths into our beloved country. (If you want to hate Jewish liberal politicians even more, check out the Congressmen in the 1950’s and 60’s who drafted the legislation to bring in these miscreants from shi*t ho*e countries).

I've ceased trying to figure out the total failure of American Jewish leadership. Now I just want them replaced as quickly as possible.
I completely agree.
